Wahhh! I had been craving for Pakbet. I want it so bad, that I was dreaming about it. There is an Asian store here in Huntsville, but it’s just too far away. We went there one time, but they don’t sell the kind of egg plant that I like, and their ampalaya looks different.
When I cook Pakbet, I love to put pork (with lots of fat) brown bagoong and all the veggies to make it. I am drooling as I am writing this post. I guess, I am sick and tired of eating the food that I cook all the time. I want something different. My mom and I ate some Paksiw na Pata the other day. I love it when I was in the Philippines, I can eat anything that I want. The veggie vendors are scattered around the subdivision and whatever I crave for, was always available.
Anyways, I will try to go to the store next week, and see if they have other Filipino vegetables.
